fac horodyskyjCompleted her musical studies at the Lviv Conservatory in Ukraine, graduating in 1976 with a Master's Degree in performance and pedagogy. For seventeen years she was a violinist in the Lviv Opera orchestra moving up to the rank of assistant concertmaster. In 1993 Daria moved to Chicago and joined the Northwest Chicago Symphony and the NCSO String Quartet. Within a short time she was appointed concertmistress and is frequently featured in solo roles. She has been string instructor for the Chicago School of Violin Making since 1994 and is active as a free lance musician with such orchestras as Northwest Indiana, Skokie Valley, and the Chicago Philharmonic.
